Meet the Photographer
Jen Dragon
Since I was a small girl, I have always connected with animals very easily. There is a natural understanding between my wildest of friends to my daily cuddlers.

The first pet photoshoot I remember, I was about 12 years old, our female crossbreed was pregnant with puppies. My thought was, “Well, we better get you married.” So, I dressed them up and married them. I got a disposable film camera and commenced with their first photoshoot. I was absolutely terrible back then, not knowing anything about taking a decent photo.
I helped with the birth of 10 puppies, in which the father sheepishly waited by. A few hours later… two sets of twins and six other individual puppy faces look back at me. German Shepherd, Golden Labrador father & German Shepherd, Rottweiler, and another breed or two which was unknown. But they were absolutely beautiful big pawed puppies.
Some years pass, as well as our beloved family parent dogs, but new family members joined us. A pure bred German Shepherd boy and a Bullmastiff girl. They also then had 10 puppies - what are the chances - but this time, I had equipment, skill, and knowledge. Hooray!

I have worked with the Edmonton Valley Zoo in close encounters to take photos for their social media. As well as took part in their 2012 Mother’s Day event which included an Artisan Market, and a photographer at a couple Zoofests!
I feel so grateful to have meet and greet experienced with some of the animals I grew very close to. I would hang out for hours just observing them and taking photos when the moment presented itself.

I have two cats, Patty and Charles. My fluffy living room tiger girl and my big tuxedo boy. Many many photos of them :)
I adore all types of pets and hope to meet yours soon!
